Dogs often have weird habits. One particular dog is fond of raising its paws as if she’s reaching for the sky. Let me introduce the adorable Coco.
Coco is a Maltese. She learns tricks fast, and she also loves being in front of the camera. Coco quickly learned all the tricks that her family taught her. She learned the “arms up” trick the same way she learned all the other basic dog tricks.
Katee Lauchner, Coco’s owner, previously had another Maltese before she adopted Coco. That Maltese died after 13 years of being with Katee. She knew her household would never be the same without a dog, so she decided to adopt another Maltese. That’s when Coco came into their lives.
Seven months into having Coco as part of their household, they decided that they want Coco to have a playmate. And so they adopted another Maltese – Cici. Coco and Cici are related by blood, but they are not sister. Technically, Cici is Coco’s Aunt. But in their household, they are sisters.
Katee said in an interview that Coco is more like a human than a dog. She likes to sit beside her humans and get belly rubs rather than play with her toys. And she’s very easy to train. Within one week from being adopted, Coco has learned to follow the “sit” command. She learned new commands every week.
Coco’s “Paws up” trick started when Katee’s daughter tried to teach Coco to stand. Initially, with the support of furniture, but later on, Coco mastered standing with her paws held high. She made it her thing. She would do it whenever she feels like it.
Katee’s family decided to film Coco and post it online. They even created a social media page for Coco and Cici. They continue to post adorable videos and photos of Coco and Cici online. But you’ll see Coco more since Cici is a bit camera shy.
