Tupelo the Borzoi has the longest snoot in the world, and she uses it to her advantage. She loves to do things her way. So instead of waiting for her owner to give her treats, she follows a simple strategy with the help of her super long snoot to get all the snacks she wanted.
Here is how Tupelo steal treats. First, she identifies where the snack is. She has seen her mom, Allison Cannarsa, keeping treats in the jacket pocket whenever they’re out on walks, so she assumes other dog owners do the same.
Once Tupelo identifies the location of the treats, she then looks for a target. Tupey, as her mom fondly calls her, takes a stroll around the dog park almost every day. While her mom is busy talking with other dog moms, she scans the pockets of her possible targets and picks a victim for the day.
After choosing an unlucky victim, Tupey flirts a bit with her victim’s dog but keeps an eye on the pocket area. She then goes near the pocket area, does a bit of flirting again, and have a sniff to confirm if there are treats hidden inside the pocket.
Tupey then looks for the perfect opportunity to carry out her little crime. When she notices that her victim is quite busy, she prepares herself to attack. Using her ultimate weapon, which is her long snoot, she reaches out to her victim’s pocket and secures her treats.
This Borzoi has gotten quite a reputation around the park for mastering the art of pickpocketing. But she’s just too adorable, so she always gets away with her little crimes. And when she’s done pickpocketing treats, the next things she steals are balls.
Tupey’s mom seems not a bit bothered about Tupey being a master pickpocket. She loves her just the way she is, and she wouldn’t trade her for the world.
